Lighting Color
Each layer has separate storage for lines, lighting, and color. The lighting lightens or darkens areas. Natural lighting highlights have an orange-yellow hue and shadows have a bluish hue. The lighting controls allow you to adjust the amount of color visible in the highlights and shadows and also to change the hue.
Lighting Color is a step that can be added to a colorization.
Here is a view of a lake house with a green colorscheme. Most of the lighting is in the CAD Layer, shown selected in the view of the Lighting Color Controls and main toolbar below:

The H Chroma slider was used to increase the amount of color in the highlights. S Chroma was increased to increase the amount of color in the shadows.

The Background checkbox is sometimes useful with perspective views to automatically create a background color that works with the lighting colors. When Background is checked, B Chroma slider becomes active so you can tweak the amount of color in the background.
The Sun and Shade buttons allow you to set these colors directly from the palette or color picker.
Reset returns the settings to neutral. If the background has been changed, you need to hit Undo a couple times to restore it.
