The Gerts Derivation
Lines for this drawing were scanned into ColorCaps from the Gerts Wasmuth drawing.

The style was copied from the Tomek drawing shown further below. The background, lighting color and color scheme came from the Tomek House using Drawing/Style/Load Drawing Style.

A gradient lighting layer was added on top of the background, which made it lighter. Back and front lighting layers were added and the caption. The Tomek house only had one color in the color scheme besides the background, the reddish brick color. Some accent colors were added. Then it was saved as the Gerts style drawing:

Here is a version of the same drawing with the overall drawing colors saturated using Drawing/Color Tweak:

Here is the Tomek style drawing used to start the colorization of the Gerts House:

It's interesting how the new drawing grows into a separate entity all its own, with an appearance that is different from the original style.

It's efficient to use an existing style to jump-start the new drawing and then let the new drawing go where it wants to.
